Entry 24
2Chr 30:1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover to the LORD God of Israel.
The Passover to the LORD God of Israel
God sent a message and a messenger redeemer with an invitation to come and have everlasting fellowship with the LORD.
By now we have seen that a message and a messenger have been sent. We looked at "sent", we saw also that the messenger is Jesus Christ, the greatest "living epistle" ever sent as He is the WORD of GOD in the flesh. We saw how we, in Him and by Him are also "living epistles", holding forth the WORD of GOD in earthen vessels, sent with a message to "come" to the "house of the Lord at Jerusalem" to "keep the passover to the Lord God of Israel".
We looked at who and what the House of the LORD is, we looked at New Jerusalem which comes down from God out of heaven, the true place of our citizenship. We looked at some of the things which are there for us and which come forth from the House of the Lord and Jerusalem.
Now, we will look at the keeping of the Passover which is divine and holy fellowship with Jesus Christ and the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ which He has made possible by the taking away of our sins through the shedding of His blood on the cross and by His resurrection from the dead.

We first must realize that Jesus Christ is our passover.
1Cor 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Cor 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.

1Cor 1:9 God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
In the next few days, we will look at the passover and our fellowship with Christ and His body which is the Church.
